Alfred Richard

Alfred John “Bee” Richard, a resident of Starks was born May 3, 1932 and passed away Aug. 22, 2020 at the age of 88. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and served during the Korean War.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

He is survived by his children Karen “Cookie” Crenshaw and husband, Mark, Anita Lynette Barks and husband, Joseph, Rhonda Faye Fevrejean, Steven John Richard and wife, Brenda, Clark Ray Holmes and wife, Charlotte and Anthony Eugene Holmes; 21 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Ryder and Sheryl Vincent, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Rae Clark Richard; daughter, Deborah Delaine Allbright; parents, Dudley Richard and Elise Comeaux Richard; brother, Nelson Richard; and sister, Ruth Racca.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Calvary Apostolic Church, 4270 Hwy. 12, Starks with funeral service to begin at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the VFW Cemetery in Starks.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
