Funeral services for Lydia Patricia Cornett will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, at the White Oaks Memorial Chapel in Oakdale with Brother Gregory Strother officiating. Committal service will follow in the Woodworth Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Cornett, 66, of Ragley, died Saturday, July 25, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Camp Polk. Lydia enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, scrapbooking and sharing her recipes. She was a loving mother to all, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Cornett of Ragley; two daughters, Irene Thomas (Costandza) of Iowa and Barbara McCoy (Bryan) of Elton; two sisters, Donna Odom of Conroe, Texas and Pamela Bordelon of Westlake; one brother, Ricky Bearden of Liberty Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raul San Miguel and Irene Guillory San Miguel; and one sister.
Visitation will be held in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 29, from 5 until 8 p.m., and on Thursday, July 30, from 8 a.m. until time of service.
In keeping within the Louisiana State guidelines, practice social distancing between individuals not from the same household in the church and at the cemetery. All attendees and employees are required to wear face coverings. Frequent use of hand sanitizer is urged and any individuals who are sick are asked to stay home.
