Verna Louise Gordon Hicks, 82, died on Monday, July 13, 2020.
She had a long career as an LPN, retiring from CalCam Emergency Room in Sulphur after more than eighteen years. She was the pastor’s wife and member of First Baptist Church in Longville.
Survivors include her children, Ricci Hicks and wife Kimberly, of Longville, Rebecca Hammond and husband Vince of North East, Md., Patricia Wiley and husband Fred of Longville, Alisa Lowrey of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Karla Thompson and husband Alan of Mannford, Okla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lois Gordon; her husband, Rev. Lewis Hicks; and her sister.
Funeral service was held Friday, July 17, at Longville Baptist Church, in Longville. Rev. Corey Townsley officiated. Interment was at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.
