Helen Doyle Franks was born Jan. 31, 1942 and passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the age of 78.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy Sandifer and wife, Geraldine; and Tammy Sharbino and husband, Daryl; grandchildren, Jessica Hebert and husband, James, Tristan Domingue and Jina Sandifer; great-grandchildren, Curtis, Abigail and Bryson; her sisters, Katherine Little and Roxie Darbonne.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Sandifer and her second husband, Marvin Franks; grandson Jeff Alston, granddaughter, Erica Sandifer; parents, Kenneth Leon Doyle and Martha Joyce Bailey Doyle; siblings, Margie Stanfield, Martha Doyle, Kenneth Doyle, Joyce Duhon, Eliza Lyons, Taford Doyle and Ronnie Doyle.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 25 at Oretta Pentecostal Church in Oretta and the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Oretta Pentecostal Church with interment following in Oretta Cemetery in Oretta.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
