William “Bill” McBee was born Nov. 1, 1941 in Weatherford, Texas and passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at his residence in Houston, Texas at the age of 78.
He is survived by his children, Joseph Depute and wife, Jerilyn of San Antonio, Texas, Malita Gay Buckingham and husband, Bill of Weatherford, Texas, Conrad Paul Cooper of Beaumont, Texas, Dwayne Cooper and wife, Christina of Sealy, Texas, Leslie McBee Bernal and husband, Alvaro of Houston, Texas, Wesley McBee of Houston, Texas and Kayla McBee of Houston, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
He is also survived by his siblings, Donald Wayne McBee of Weatherford, Texas, Betty Louise Plowman and husband, Donald of Biloxi Miss., Helen Mae Barton of Granbury, Texas; and Linda Jean Bradenton of Hancock, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LeNora Wheeler McBee; two grandsons, Johnny Wayne McKee and Dwayne L. Depute; parents, Eugene McBee and Vivian Elsie McBee Chatman; step-father, Clifton W. Chatman; brother, Raymond McBee; sisters, Margaret Ann McBee, Barbara Gene McBee and Elsie Marie Bond.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy and the funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at the funeral home. Interment followed at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
