After 15 years of service to the citizens of Calcasieu Parish, District Attorney John DeRosier will retire at the end of this year.
“This world-wide pandemic has caused me to take stock of what’s really important in life. I’ve taken this pause in life to consider and appreciate all the accomplishments of our office over the last 15 years and how we’ve improved public safety throughout our parish,” said District Attorney John DeRosier. “Given the tremendous successes of our office over the last 15 years, I’ve decided to retire at the end of my current term. 2020 should be the year of ushering in a new generation of leadership. I’m excited about the prospect of new, bold ideas going forward.”
