Catherine Doyle Duggan, 96, of Starks died on Saturday, May 16, 2020. She was born in Sulphur but lived in Starks since her early childhood. She was a long-standing and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Starks.
Catherine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Glen Morris Duggan; her daughter, Betty Arlene Duggan Davenport; an infant daughter; her parents, Wyatt and Arthemise Verdine Doyle; and her four siblings, Joseph Albert Doyle, Mabel Jewel Doyle Kiblinger, Katie Belle Doyle Egan and Adeline Doyle Gore.
She is survived by her son, Michael Duggan and wife Linda; daughter, Kathleen Duggan Lincoln and husband Don; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
A private visitation was held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 18, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy and a private family funeral followed at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial following at Doyle Cemetery in Starks. Rev. Ron Butler officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 128 Hwy. 109 S., Starks LA 70661.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
