Harvey Henry Perkins was born Nov. 11, 1942 in Lunita and passed away on Sunday, Apr. 19, 2020 at the age of 77.
He survived by his children, Dorothy (Missy Lou) Tremie and husband, Cody of DeQuincy, Amanda McClelland and husband, Jesse of Westlake, Jeffery Perkins and wife Amanda of DeQuincy, and Daniel Perkins of DeQuincy; step-son, Timothy Lee Perkins of DeRidder; grandchildren, Victoria Mullen, Angela Thomas, Jessica McCarty, Jon McCarty, Joshua Perkins, Gabriella McClelland, Samuel Bailey, Taegin McClelland, Favian McClelland, Austin, Baylee, Morgan, Mason, Zachery, Cohen, and Oliver Perkins; great-grandchildren, Piper, Sydney, and Octavia (Tater Bug) Mullen, Brooks and Evelyn Thomas, Gabriel and Sophia Tremmel, Scarlet and Honora Dawsey McCarty.
He was preceded in death by his son, Nathan (Knocker) Perkins; parents, Murle and Nora Ellen Perkins; sister, Zelma Berzas; and brothers; Ralph, Roy, Charlie, and Tom Sawyer Perkins.
A private visitation was held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 21, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with a private burial at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St, DeQuincy.
