Marilyn Relief Groves Jorgenson Deshotel, 91, went to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 3, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 16, 1928 to her late parents, Henry and Addie Groves in Shreveport, LA.
She is survived by her son, Karl Jorgenson and wife Alison of Springtown, TX; daughters, Soni Wood and husband Walter of Mauriceville, TX, Mari Berry and husband Bobby of Orange, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Jerry Jorgenson, and Keith Deshotel of 20 years; and one daughter, Jeri Jorgenson of Mauriceville, TX.
Family and friends were a top priority in her life and she was a Nanny to many. Nanny was amazed at being an only child and creating such a big family.
A Celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at a later date at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, LA. Burial will be at Perkins Cemetery.
