Lorenz George Thomas, 85, a native of Hall Summit died Monday evening, Jan. 13, 2020 at his home after a long illness.
He served in the Korean War in the Marine Corps. He worked for Dunham Manufacturing Company as a welder for 30+ years.
He is survived by his wife, Lovell Lee Thomas; children, Lois Cedars and Alvin of Sibley, Karen Griffin and Parrish of DeQuincy, David Thomas of Minden, Tommy Thomas and Donna of Ragley; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Lilly Thomas; mother of his children, Doris E. Allen; 2nd wife, Claudia G. Thomas; six brothers; five sisters; and granddaughter, Sarah Griffin.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas were held Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with Rev. Jim Crain officiating. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden.
