Ossie Mae Monroe, 89, died on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019.
A resident of DeQuincy, she was a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the choir.
She is survived by one son, Anthony Roscoe of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Patricia Monroe of DeQuincy and Veronica Monroe of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday Dec. 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in DeQuincy. The funeral service will be held at 12 noon at the church. Rev. James Harris will officiate. Burial will follow at Community Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
