Tigers face Albany

By Mike Suchanek

For a first meeting of two schools, DeQuincy and Albany put on quite an offensive explosion last Friday night in Tiger Stadium. The final score, 46-42 in favor of the home team Tigers.

DeQuincy jumped out to a quick lead but were quickly matched by Albany and that’s how it was for the majority of the game. The Tigers had a 46- 29 point lead until Albany made it interesting by scoring 13 unanswered points near the end of the game to pull the score at 46-42. The Tigers then held the ball to run out the clock.

As would be expected in a 46-42 game there were many offensive stars. Here are a few of them.

Passing: Gunner Gearen, 18/26 360 3 TDs 1 INT; Reese Ashworth, 6/10 182 2 TDs 1 INT.

Rushing: Cooper Hext, 7 carries 50 yds. 1 TD; Corben Royer, 8 carries 40 yds. 1 TD

Receiving: Braylon Snell, 5 rec. 206 yds. 2 TD; Cooper Hext, 10 rec 173 yds. 3 TDs; Rayden Rosalis, 6 rec. 84 yds.; Taije Ceasar, 5 rec. 79 yds.

These Tigers are exciting on the field and put up great numbers. The Tigers were able to pull their season record to 2-2 with Leesville up next.
