Sirus Kashefi, a DeQuincy visitor, cycled through town recently. Kashefi left Ontario, Canada on Thursday, Aug. 1, at 8:54 a.m. to travel through America by bicycle. His schedule includes traveling approximately 11 hours per day. Since he began his journey, he has only taken off two days.
He likes the American culture and is writing about it. He loves meeting people and taking pictures. He has visited New York, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Mississippi, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and is now in Louisiana.
Kashefi’s next stop will be Texas with his ultimate destination being Argentina.
