Willie F. O’Kelley Jr., 76, of Westlake, died Thursday, July 11, 2019.
He was born in Jonesville and lived in Westlake most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He graduated from Westlake High where he also played football. He was a graduate of Sowela Technical College and later retired from Vista Chemical.
He is survived by his sons, Scott O’Kelley and wife Krista of Ragley, and David O’Kelley of Westlake; brother, Henry O’Kelley of Longville; sisters, Embella Pedersen and Elizabeth Witherspoon; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie F O’Kelley Sr. and Iveleah Gray; and one sister.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 13, at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Henry Iatesta and Allen O’Kelley officiated. Burial followed at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery.
