Keith Snider has been appointed Dean of the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., effective Mar. 31, 2019.
Dr. Snider joined the NPS faculty in 1996 after serving for 20 years as an officer in the U.S. Army. He graduated from DeQuincy High School in 1972, from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1976, and earned a PhD in Public Affairs from Virginia Tech in 1997.
The Graduate School of Business and Public Policy has 55 full-time faculty members. It awards the MBA and MS in Management degrees to resident students, and the EMBA and two specialized MS degrees to distance learning nonresident students. Over 600 students are currently enrolled in its degree programs.
The School and its degrees are accredited by AACSB International, the world’s largest business education alliance, and by NASPAA, the chief accrediting body for public service education.
In 2018, U.S. News & World Report ranked the School #1 among graduate schools of public affairs in the specialized category of Homeland/National Security and Emergency Management.
Dr. Snider is the son of the late Ruth and Earl Snider, and the youngest brother of Beth Snider Reames, Jim Snider, Sam Snider, and Mark Snider.
