New Hope Baptist Church

Join us this Sunday at New Hope Baptist Church. You will be welcomed by a friendly group of peopleā€¦just ordinary people serving an Extraordinary God, a people led by God to reach out with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are looking to the future with great expectation.

Our ministry staff includes our Pastor, Bro. Roland Hebert; Associate Pastor, Bro. Tracey Smith; Music Minister, Bro. Robbie Briggs, who serves along with the Choir and Worship Team; Bro. Mike Streams, Youth Minister; Mrs. Ellen Briggs, Children’s Director; and Mrs. Lisa McVey, Nursery Director.

We are located in the Marcantel Settlement south of DeQuincy, at 543 Marcantel Road, a fast-growing community in a rural setting.

Our ministries are designed to encourage, evangelize, and educate. Our desire is to be committed to prayer and preaching the gospel, as well as Bible study, soul-winning, and fellowship. We have Bible study classes for all ages from nursery to senior adult. We would love for you to visit us and discover New Hope.

Discover NEW HOPE:

  • What it means to have NO HOPE . . . Romans 3:23; 6:23
  • Jesus is the ONLY HOPE . . . John 14:6
  • Repentance is the KEY TO HOPE . . . Luke 13:3
  • Receiving Christ gives NEW HOPE . . . John 6:37

In a world filled with chaos and confusion, we seriously believe that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, can bring personal peace to those who trust Him. If you would like to learn more about the new hope you can find in Jesus or about New Hope Baptist Church, this is your invitation.

We rejoice in the victories of our past 73 years. We are thankful for contributions and sacrifices made resulting in many highlights of spiritual growth and development. New Hope has faithfully pointed the way of salvation and service to hundreds. The vision that brought us into being is the same vision that sustains and vitalizes our worship and fellowship today.

The message of New Hope is that Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, the Only Way to the Father. We believe in the Bible (the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God), the Blood, and the Blessed Hope, as well as the soon-coming return of our Lord.

Our desire is to have a regional impact on our area of Southwest Louisiana (our Jerusalem), on the State of Louisiana (our Judea), on the United States (our Samaria), and to the ends of the earth (the commission as listed in Acts 1:8).

In addition to Worship, Small-Group Bible Study, and the Music Ministry, we are involved in: Prayer Ministry, Men’s and Women’s Ministry, Student Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Senior Adult Ministry, Missions Ministry (includes local, state, and foreign), Camp Ministry, and Shoebox Christmas Ministry. (This past Christmas 600 shoeboxes were sent to Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.) We also sponsor the Community Outreach Center of DeQuincy. The COC serves approximately 200 families each month, and is open every 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.

New Hope is also involved with the Dry Creek Baptist Camp. The Preteen Retreat (now called Creek Kid Weekend) (March 22-23), Preteen Camp I (July 15-18), and Preteen Camp II (July 29-August 1) serve as great ministries for many of our adults, as well as great camps for our children to attend. Our youth will be involved in Dry Creek’s Adventure Youth Camps.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 3-7. Another community activity will be the Harvest Stampede in the early days of November.

Our mission is to Share the Gospel/Love Others/Disciple those who Believe/Serve Others

Our future is filled with great hope. Our All-Purpose Building should be finished soon giving us a larger fellowship area, nursery, and youth facilities.
