Lynda Scarber Courville, 77, of Frisco, Texas, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019. She was born Nov. 20, 1941, in DeQuincy to Montella (Dunham) and Lee Scarber. Lynda married the love of her life, Douglas Courville, in DeQuincy on Feb. 17, 1962.
She utilized her many talents serving the needs of her family as a homemaker.
Lynda is survived by her children, Jon (Jennifer) Courville of Charleston, S.C., Ben (Hillary) Courville of Pittsburg, Pa., Amy Maddox of Frisco; grandchildren Samantha Courville, Redge Nelson, Ethan Courville, Sarah Courville, William Maddox, Grace Courville, Blair Nelson, Trent Courville, Alex Courville, Kate Maddox, Blake Nelson; sisters, Donna Guillory and Debbie (Allen) Walker, both of DeQuincy; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Ryan Courville; son, Trent Courville; and parents.
A remembrance gathering was held at Berkshire Chapel in Frisco from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16.
