Lesta Pearl Martin, 72, of DeQuincy passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 in a local hospital.
A lifelong resident of DeQuincy, she was a graduate of DeQuincy High School. She enjoyed working with plants and flowers. Lesta cleaned homes for many families over the years. She enjoyed visiting and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her brother, Ralph Martin of DeQuincy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luster and Berta Martin.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, in Hixson-Snider Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Neyland officiated. Burial followed in Hyatt Cemetery of Fields. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Services were entrusted to Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, 205 E. Harrison St., DeQuincy.
