James J. Abdalla, Jr 89, was born in DeQuincy on Sept. 5, 1929 and passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie Henry and husband, Harry of Westlake and Cathy Trahan and husband, Ross of Sulphur. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lerin , Landon, Shayna and Coltin; and his great grandchildren, Chandler, Kyle, Liv and James. He is also survived by his brothers, George L. (Pargie) Abdalla and wife, Neelum of DeRidder and Gerald Abdalla of DeQuincy along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James J. Abdalla, Sr. and Edna Gearen Abdalla.
The family received friends on Tuesday, Jan. 1, from 2-4 p.m. and the funeral service began at 4 p.m. at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Dr. Gerald “Bubba” Abdalla, Jr. officiated. Interment followed at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
