Alice Perkins Ashworth, a resident of Singer passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at the age of 74 years.
She is survived by her children, Remonia Pierce and husband, Gregory, Rebecca Marcantel and husband, Jason Roshto, Robert Ashworth, Jr., and wife Jonna, Norma Ashworth and companion, Dale Hammon; along with 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Eddie Ray Perkins; and her sister, Jeanette Crutchfield and husband, Rod.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R. L. Ashworth; her parents, O. C. and Nellie Perkins; her brothers, Gilbert Perkins, Alva Perkins, George Perkins, Thomas “Bit” Perkins, and O. C. Perkins, Jr.; and her sisters, Gilda Sue Perkins and Bessie Mae Catron.
The family received friends Monday, Jan. 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 15, beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment followed at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
