George Melvin Eaves, 80, of Merryville died on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Eaves of Merryville; sons, Michael Eaves and Kelly, Mark Eaves, and Gregory Eaves and Kristi, all of Merryville; brothers, Raymond Eaves of Merryville, James “Pud” Eaves of Greenville, Texas, and Dan Eaves of Merryville; sisters, Marilyn Warden of DeRidder, Gloria Midkiff of Port Arthur, Texas, and Pauline Stanford of Rosepine; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Minnie Eaves; and one brother.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, at First Apostolic Church of Merryville. Bro. Jeff Smith and Bro. Guy Snyder officiated the service. Burial followed at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
