Abram “Abe” Longoria, 83, of Merryville died Friday, Aug. 13, 2021.
He was survived by his wife, Christine Longoria of Merryville; son, Michael Longoria and Donna of Lafayette; daughters, Marilyn Stark and Arrie of DeRidder, Tammy Siler and Jim of Temple, Texas; brothers, Homer Longoria of Ohatchee, Alaska, James Longoria and Tami of Sobol, Okla., Harvey Longoria and Ky., Lyndon Longoria and Kerry of DeRidder, Roger Longoria and Angela of DeRidder; sisters, Shirley Cooley and Gail Killian, both of Merryville; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abram and Pearl Longoria; and on sister.
Graveside service was held Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville. Rev. Paul Brewer officiated and Reverend Jelbert Siler recited the eulogy. Burial followed at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.
