Kevin Dwayne Henley, 45, a resident of Deweyville, Texas, passed away in the comfort of his home, close to loved ones early Monday, Aug. 9, 2021.
Kevin was born Jan. 30, 1976 to parents Marvin Henley and Judith Rogers. He worked construction for 26 years and was an excellent provider for his family. He married Edie Mar. 28, 2008 in Deweyville, Texas. Kevin loved to live life and did so very vibrantly. His voice filled the room at any event, whether he spoke or if he sang. Kevin never met a stranger and welcomed any new friends to his home in Deweyville where he and his wife prepared large meals and Kevin sang karaoke.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Henley; his grandparents, Cola Chalmer Henley, Patsy Ruth Henley, James Savoy Justice, Joan Gertrude Justice; along with various aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was survived by his wife, Edie; their daughter and grandchildren, Ary Eaves, Luci Smith, Lakyn, Levi and Huntley and his son-in-law, Anthony Huntley. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Marvin Henley, Matthew Henley, Patty Henley and Martha Henley Threeton. His brothers and sisters all gave him a swarm of nieces and nephews.
Cremation has been entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
