Katherine Marie Venable Fontenot, 61, of Lake Charles died Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 in a local hospital.
Born in Jennings, she was a 1977 graduate of South Beauregard High School and lived all her adult life in Lake Charles. Her career was in banking, retiring ten years ago to be closer to family. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Fontenot, Jr.; daughter, Janeé Swire and husband Justin; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson and Ella Mae Venable; and one brother.
Her funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Brother Wayne Dartez officiated. Burial followed in Creel Memorial Gardens in Reeves.
