The DeQuincy High School Tiger Band “brought the house down’ at the Lake Charles Toyota Gulf Coast Marching Band Championship held Saturday at McNeese State University.

The band took home Best in Class for percussion, Best in Class for visual and overall Best Class A Champion awards.

They will compete in the Sulphur High School 45th Annual Golden Tornado Marching Festival Saturday, Nov. 7. at 11 p.m.

The festival begins at 10:30 a.m. and admission will be charged. Awards are at 7:30 p.m.

Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under.
