Ward 6 Fire Department has served the community and its families and protected their property for 40 years.

To celebrate, it is hosting an open house Saturday, Oct. 24, noon-4 p.m. at 108 Marcantel Rd. in DeQuincy.

It’s the public’s chance to offer public input on the future, learn about the department’s past, meet the firefighters past and present, receive fire extinguisher training and review other safety tips.

The kiddos will enjoy activities just for them.

Ward 6 Fire Department is collecting memories at this event. Bring what you’ve got, share it and enjoy the fun.
