Jacqueline “Jackie” Hudson, 74, was born Jan. 22, 1952, and passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, with her loving husband, Paul.

She is survived by her daughter, Katie; siblings, Bill McDonald and wife Amelia, Frankie McDonald and wife Diane, and Tommy Vassar Sr.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and beloved cats, Baby and Tom.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy; stepfather and mother, Therman and Genevieve McDonald; and siblings, Lela Faye “Sissy” Jackson, Carlie Jean Powell, Patrick Langley, and Sally Ann Langley.

The Hudson family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment to follow at Riley Smith Memorial Park in DeQuincy. Pastor Timothy Stephens will be officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
