CITY COUNCIL July 16, 2026 DeQuincy, LA
The City Council of the City of DeQuincy met in a special session on Thursday July 16, 2026, 3 p.m., at DeQuincy City Hall, 300 N. Holly Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana, with the following members present: Cameron Smith, Margaret Brown and Eddy Dahlquist. Absent: Scott Wylie and Jim Smith.
The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. by Cameron Smith, and the roll was called with the above result.
No public input or comments.
A motion was made by Eddy Dahlquist and seconded by Margaret Brown to approve the variance to allow Gary Pierce to put a 22 x 33 ft residential carport on the property at 310 First Street that will not meet the setback requirements. A letter from the neighbor was provided for approval and knowledge of the setbacks not being met. Without objection, the motion was carried.
There being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Margaret Brown and
seconded by Eddy Dahlquist to adjourn the meeting.
