The DeQuincy Avenue of Flags is sponsored by the DeQuincy Garden Club and installed and maintained by the City of DeQuincy on President’s Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veteran’s Day.
Each flag is funded by local merchants and citizens who wish to display the red, white and blue to express pride in country, honor those who sacrificed for our freedom, and show support for community. Proceeds also support scholarships for local seniors.
Elena DeVito, on behalf of the The Garden Club, said that she would like to thank those who participate in the DeQuincy Avenue of Flags, and she extended an invitation to those who would like to participate to ensure the American Flag continues to be flown here and honored.
