Council to discuss and act on a possible extension of a variance for Jason Bradshaw’s family member to live in a travel trailer on the property he owns at 312 N Perkins Street.
Consideration and Adoption of resolution approving the appointment of Daniel Forrester as Director and William Frazier as Alternate Director, for a term of four (4) years, to the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Municipal Natural Gas Purchasing and Distribution Authority.
Consideration and Adoption of Resolution to authorize Mayor Smith to act on behalf of the city of
DeQuincy to amend the current CAT (Combined Anti-Drug Team) MOU to add Louisiana State Police
into MOU as participating law enforcement agency of CAT.
PUBLIC HEARING regarding adopting a resolution on the adjusted millage rate of 5.930 set by the parish tax assessor.
Consideration and adoption of a resolution concerning the adjusted millage rate of 5.930 set by the parish tax assessor.
PUBLIC HEARING regarding a resolution setting forth the adjusted millage rate and roll forward to millage rate not exceeding the maximum authorized rate of 6.020.
Consideration and adoption of a resolution regarding setting forth the adjusted millage rate and roll forward to a millage rate not exceeding the maximum authorized rate of 6.020.
Consideration and adoption of a resolution to authorize Mayor Smith to take action to award a construction contract for the DeQuincy Industrial Airpark’s Airfield Drainage Improvement Project to the lowest responsive bidder. The execution of the construction contract is contingent upon receipt of funding through an FAA/LADOTD grant.
Consideration and adoption of a resolution to authorize Mayor Smith take action to authorize the execution of a Construction Engineering Services Agreement with Infrastructure Construction and Engineering, LLC for the DeQuincy Industrial Airpark’s Airfield Drainage Improvement Project, contingent upon receipt of funding
through an FAA grant.
Adopt a resolution to authorize Mayor Smith to sign all documents to enter into an agreement with the lowest bidder of R.C Paving, INC for $1,255,370.87 for the Street Rehabilitation, Planning. and Construction. F.P.&C. Project # 50-M64-22-02
15.Public hearing and adoption of Ordinance # 1009, to declare property located on Yoakum Avenue,
Parcel Nos. 00749001A and 01343049, as surplus property and authorize the sale of a servitude to
the property owner at 101 Yoakum Avenue.
Introduce Ordinance #1010 and set a public hearing for August 10, 2026, to update and amend Sec 12-34, Business where licenses are based on flat fees. (Solicitors, peddlers and hawkers) in the City Ordinance code.
Introduce Ordinance # 1011 and set a public hearing for August 10th, 2026, to update and amend
Chapter 21, Appendix A- General Zoning Ordinance, Sec. 2, in the City Ordinance code.
Discussion and consideration starting the condemnation process for the structure located at 103/105 E Fourth Street.
Discussion and consideration of the request submitted by the property owner of 129 Pine Street, as presented at the June 8, 2026, Council meeting.
Proceed with the next step of the condemnation process, which is to send to the Parish for Inspection, on the structure located at 129 Pine Street.
Approve the final step of the condemnation process of the property located on the structure located at 701 Seymour Pullam Road
Approve the final step of the condemnation process of the property located on the structure located at 1005 Banneker Street.
Approve the final step of the condemnation process of the property located on the structure located at 1102 Banneker Street.
Approve the final step of the condemnation process of the property located on the structure located at 808 Hayes Street.
Approve the final step of the condemnation process of the property located on the structure located at 803 N Division Street.
