Debbie Lorrine Maddox was born on Jan. 16, 1959, and went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 5, 2026.
Debbie was the most kind and caring person you could ever meet. She was a strong woman with a deep love for God. No matter what she went through, her faith never faltered.
Her children and grandchildren were her greatest treasures and the center of her world. There was nothing she would not do for them. Debbie worked as the manager of Park Place of DeQuincy for over 15 years, where she truly loved caring for and working with the elderly. Debbie loved everyone unconditionally. She had a special place in her heart for those who needed love, kindness, and acceptance, and she never met a stranger.
She is survived by her daughter, Laiken Pierce; her son, Adam Parker and his wife, Katlyn; her grandchildren, Kairi, Elliott, Cash Lee, and Wyatt; her mother, Frances Maddox; her brother, Steve Maddox and his wife, Janet; her niece and nephews, Tiffany Maddox, Stephen Maddox, Jacob Maddox, and Ryan Maddox; her great-niece and great-nephews, Kyleigh, Joseph, Grayson, Holden, John Paul and Shepard; her beloved cat, Maizy; and numerous other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aubrey Maddox; her brother, Todd Maddox; her son-in-law, Jacob Pierce; and her great-grandparents, Oscar and Ruth Hydle and Travis and Hilda Maddox.
The family will receive friends at 12 until the funeral service at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, at Riley Smith and Sons funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Mike Streams will be officiating. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
