Nora Mae Malone was born on Dec. 22, 1945, and passed away on Thursday, Apr. 2, 2026.
Nora was a very family oriented person who cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She enjoyed playing games, traveling, and cooking, and she was especially known for making everyone’s favorite cake for their birthdays. She also had a love for Cajun music.
She is survived by her children, Timothy Malone (Tonya) and Marv Malone; her grandchildren, Bryan Malone (Kristyna), Jason Malone (Ashley), and Devan Howard (Kyra); and her great-grandchildren, Kenneth Cade Malone, Michael Malone, Everleigh Grace Malone, Dawson Malone, Barrett Malone, Kaydence Howard, and Grayson Howard; siblings, Nolan Leleaux, Darrell Leleaux (Cindy), and Curtis Leleaux (Raedessa), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Ida Leleaux; her siblings, Bernice and Joy; and her husband, Kenneth Malone.
The family received friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Apr. 7. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Apr. 8, at Riley Smith & Sons in DeQuincy. Interment to follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
