Lena M. Ashworth, 72, passed away peacefully In the early morning hours of Monday, Mar. 16, 2026.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen R. Harrison and husband Charles R. Harrison; her grandchildren, Melanie, Cameron, Benjamin, Abigail; and a great-grandson, Drew. She is also survived by her siblings, Shelton Ashworth, Armithea “Sissy” Borel, Ricky Ashworth and Thomas Ashworth along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Her infectious smile and playful spirit could light up any room she entered. She loved to laugh and had a gift for making others laugh right along with her. In Lena, we had our very own Annie Oakley … Strong spirited and for sure one of a kind!
The family received friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., Friday, Mar. 20, at First Baptist Church, Starks. Pastor Ron Butler officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
