Roland “Jacob” Pierce was born Dec. 20, 1990, and passed away Friday, Mar. 13, 2026, at the age of 35.
Jacob was a loving, caring and dedicated man who truly valued the people in his life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known for putting others before himself. Jacob had a thoughtful heart and a loyal spirit, standing by those he loved through every season of life. His kindness, generosity, and the genuine care he showed to everyone around him will be deeply remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jacob was an avid Dungeon’s and Dragons player and was the Dungeon Master for his group.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, whom he lived for, Laiken Pierce; his favorite nephew, Cash Lee Parker; mother, Tammy LeBlanc and husband Maxie; father, Garland Pierce; siblings, Justin Stains, Sharon Padilla, Kelsey Comeaux, Alston Pierce, D.J. Pierce, Shy’Ann Pierce, and Shanna Pierce; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a slew of friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Mar. 18, from 5-8 p.m. at Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Mar. 19, 2026, at the funeral home. Bro. Mike Streams will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.
