Sharon Langley Lanthier was born Jan. 17, 1950, and passed away Wednesday, Mar. 11, 2026, at the age of 76.
Sharon was a member of the Carmelites in the Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, and traveling. She enjoyed going to thrift stores and flea markets to find unique antiques. Most of all, Sharon loved her family.
She was a devoted mother to her children. She was the co-owner of a ceramic shop, The Family Slip Pit, that she took great pride in. Sharon’s life was a testament of love and family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Carriere; sons, Jason Lanthier and wife Katie, Cory Lanthier and wife Connie, and Daniel Lanthier; siblings, Charles Langley and wife Crystal, and Windola Cowart, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dennis Lanthier; parents, Wilfred Langley and Mary Shirley Delahoussaye Langley; siblings, Roland Langley, Carl Langley, Rose McKissack, and Helena Blanchette.
The family received friends from 9 – 10 a.m., Monday, Mar. 16, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m., Monday, Mar. 16, at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur. Father Ron Foshage officiated. Interment followed at Big Woods Cemetery, Vinton.
