Lady Tigers dominate Rosepine

By Jake McCoy

In what is considered to be the eventual district championship, the DeQuincy Lady Tigers and Rosepine Lady Eagles continued their long tenured rivalry last Thursday and the Lady Tigers certainly did not disappoint as they had to work through a few things early on the game, facing up a little bit of adversity, falling behind by a couple of runs but then in the fourth and fifth inning, DeQuincy took control of the game for good as they would flex their muscle on Rosepine 14-5 to take the driver seat in District 4-2A.

DeQuincy would produce a whopping 16 hits which is a season high!

Audi Flower was 2-5, Maddie Vinatieri was 1-4 with an RBI, Aubree Royer was 3-5, Emily Cooley was 2-5, Onnie Remedies was 3-5 with 2 RBIs, Kayden Whotte was 1-5 with an RBI, Addli Scott was 1-5 with 3 RBIs, and Olivia Oden was 3-4 with 2 RBIs.

Maddie Vinatieri went the distance in the circle recording three strikeouts.

DeQuincy 14, Rosepine 5
