Last Thursday Feb. 19, the DeQuincy Lady Tigers softball team began their 2026 regular season on the road against the Iota Lady Bulldogs. It was certainly a battle from the start as DeQuincy would quickly gain the lead in the first inning. Iota would put together a couple of hits in the third inning to take a 4-1 lead and although the Lady Tigers produced five hits on the night it still was not enough in the end as that would remain the final score.
Audi Flower was 2-2, Emily Cooley was 1-3, Maddie Vinatieri was 1-3, and Bailey LaBorde was 1-2.
Final Score: Iota 4, DeQuincy 1
