Carl Sigler

Carl W. Sigler was born Nov. 7, 1955, and passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at the age of 70.

He was a loving and deeply considerate person who worried about everyone around him and always put others first. A true jack of all trades, he could fix, build, or figure out just about anything, and he did so with quiet generosity. He especially loved his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and pride. Well loved by family and friends, his kindness and steady presence touched many lives. He will be greatly missed and remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce Sigler; children, Heather Yellott and fiancĂ© Blake, Carlton Roussell and wife Kylie, Jason Roussell, Shonda Courmier, and Charles W. Taylor Jr.; his grandchildren “sidekicks”, Kharli Yellott and Everli Yellott; siblings, Allen and wife Sadie, Doug, Tommy, Latricia, Tammy, Angie, Diane, Kathy, Carolyn, and Melony; along with numerous other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Meldris Sigler; mother, Willie Mae Parker; son-in-law, Sam Yellott; niece, Angie Sigler; and siblings, Terry Sigler and Vernon Rigler.

Pallbearers are Ricky Rainwater, Dustin Perkins, Tommy Perkins, Bobby Sigler, Terry Smith, and Tony Smith.

The family received friends from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, with the funeral service to held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Donnis Ashworth will officiate. Interment will follow at Riley Smith Memorial Park in DeQuincy.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
