Despite it only being an exhibition game, the DeQuincy Tigers baseball team did not care as they had revenge on their minds. After falling to Welsh in the semifinals last season so losing this time was not an option. They went on and dominated just about every aspect of the game from start to finish collecting 10 hits and producing 17 runs. The Welsh faithful could only watch in disgust as the Tigers made a huge statement winning 17-3 in the Hall of Fame exhibition game.
The Tigers had 11 hits on the night including nine hole hitter Kahle Miller leading the team with three hits on four at bats.
Turner Rodriguez got the stored on the bump giving up zero hits and zero runs while striking out four batters in the process in just two innings of work and the remainder of the pitching staff pretty much did the same allowing very few hits.
Altogether, it was a total team win!
