Qualifying dates and ballot info told for Nov. 3rd election

Qualifying dates for the Nov. 3th Congressional General/Open Primary are Wednesday through Friday, July 29-31.

Statewide, parish and local candidates will be seeking election.

The following is a breakdown of what is slated for the November ballot:

Calcasieu Parish elections include: U. S. Senator; U. S. Representative 3rd Congressional District; U. S. Representative 4th Congressional District; Associate Justice Supreme Court, 3rd Supreme Court District; District Judge 14th Judicial District Court, several divisions; District Attorney 14th Judicial District Court; Public Service Commission District 4; School Board District 10; Justice of the Peace Wards 5 and 6; Constable Wards 5 and 6.

City Elections: Mayor City of DeQuincy; Councilman Districts 1, 2, and 4; and Councilman at Large City of DeQuincy.

Beauregard Parish elections include: U. S. Senator; U. S. Representative 4th Congressional District; Associate Justice Supreme Court, 3rd Supreme Court District; District Judge 36th Judicial District Court, Divisions A and B; District Attorney 36th Judicial Court; Public Service Commission District 4; School Board Member District 1; Justice of the Peace, Districts 1 and 4; Constable, Districts 1 and 4.

Sample ballots for each parish will be made available closer to the election date.
