NOTICE OF SALE
OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
CITY OF DEQUINCY, LA
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of La. R.S. 33:4712 that the City of DeQuincy, Parish of Calcasieu, State of Louisiana, (the City) per Ordinance no.1002 which passed unanimously by the DeQuincy City Council at its meeting of January 12, 2026, has declared the following property to be surplus and no longer needed for public purposes:
Description of Property:
Parcel numbers 00758434 and 00744247( TBD Third Street). The City of DeQuincy will offer said property for sale to the highest responsible bidder under the terms and conditions: (a) minimum bid price shall be $30,000.00 cash or certified funds; (b) the property shall be sold AS IS WHERE IS WITH NO WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER, (c) the sale shall be subject to the City Council’s approval.
Date and Time of Bid Opening: Bids will be due by February 4, 2026, at 5:00 pm. All bids must be in writing, sealed, and submitted as follows: Can be mailed to PO BOX 968 DeQuincy, LA 70633 or delivered to DeQuincy City Hall, 300 N. Holly Street DeQuincy, LA 70633. Bid opening will be February 5, 2026, at 9:00 am at DeQuincy City Hall.
