Jimmy D. Perkins was born May 27, 1948, and passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, at the age of 77.
He is survived by his son, Derek Perkins; sister, Alma Rose Leigh; granddaughter, Kim Perkins and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Hedy Perkins; siblings, Berta Williams, Lurlene Clark, Georgia Martin and Johnny Wayne Perkins.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Mike Streams officiated. Interment followed at Miller Annex in Starks.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
