TXC Memorial

The TXC Foundation announced the return of the 2026 TXC Memorial Jan. 9-11, at the WestCal Arena in Sulphur.

One of the region’s most anticipated roping events, the TXC Memorial brings together elite calf ropers, breakaway ropers and mutton busters from across the country along with their families, friends and fans for a weekend of high-caliber competition. This year’s event is projected to award over $155,000 in cash, prizes and college scholarships, making it one of the top-paying youth and open roping events in the state.

The 2026 event will feature open and youth roping divisions throughout the weekend with headliner events on Friday and Saturday night. Mutton Busting (Friday) will feature cowboys and cowgirls 8 and under while head-to-head match ropings will be held at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday night.

“We are committed to creating an unforgettable experience not just for the athletes, but for the families and spectators who come to support them,” said Mindy Cox from the TXC Foundation. “The growth of this event is a testament to the incredible western heritage of our community and the top-tier talent that shows up every year to compete.”

Proceeds from the TXC Memorial fund college scholarships for student rodeo athletes. Since 2000 the TXC Foundation has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in higher education scholarships.
