Charles E. Bruns was born Nov. 29, 1939 and passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, at the age of 86.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Bruns; children, Joseph Bruns and wife Melissa, Kevin Bruns and wife Sharon, Stephanie Hennigan and husband Randy; grandchildren, Savannah, Elizabeth, Erik, and Danielle; and siblings, “Sig” Bruns and wife Mary, Andrew Bruns, Jerry Bruns and wife Judy, and Benjamin “Jr” Bruns and wife Becky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Alma Bruns; brother, Leo Bruns; and sister, Josephine Jordan.
The family received friends from 9 until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 22 at Landmark United Pentecostal Church, 2115 Nall Street, Port Neches, Texas. Pastor James D. Lee and Rev. Randy Hennigan officiated. Graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 22, at Riley Smith Memorial Park in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
