Martha “Chris” Loy Fremin was born Sept. 2, 1937 and passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at the age of 88.
She is survived by her children, Tina Ferrell, Geraldine Longoria and husband Pete, Tony Scarpulla and wife Rhonda, Corbette Fremin Jr. and wife Cindy, and Claudette Davis and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Danielle, Samantha, Rozelle, Marilyn, Alex, Zofia, Tabitha, and Rebecca; brother, Ray Morgan and wife Kathy; along with numerous other family members and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Corbette Fremin Sr.; grandson, Daniel Young; brother, Jim Morgan; mother, Etha Lou Bess; and father, James M. Morgan Sr.
The family received friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at Lighthouse Tabernacle, Sulphur. Pastor Allan Upton will be officiating. Interment followed at Mimosa Pines (North) in Sulphur.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
