Homecoming 2025 was a success as the DeQuincy Fighting Tigers earned a 47-32 victory over the East Beauregard Trojans last Friday. The Trojans gave the Tigers a little bit of headache at times, but DeQuincy had control of the game the entire way and cruised to a comfortable victory. The Tigers were up at halftime 40-14 as the home crowd watched as the homecoming queen and football sweetheart, were crowned.
In the second half, the Trojans came out swinging as they scored twice in the third quarter to put the pressure on the Tigers. However, Big Red answered back early in the fourth quarter to widen the gap again. But the Trojans just would not go away as they would score with just over three minutes to go in the game. They would then attempt an onside kick, but failed to recover and allowed the Tigers to put the game away. It was a great team win and much needed at that!
