Willie Stinson Jr. was born May 28, 1946, and passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at the age of 79.
Willie was a beloved parent, grandparent, and friend. He found joy in the simple things in life – cooking delicious meals, baking treats for family and friends, relaxing by the beach, and spending countless hours working on cars. After many years, Willie retired from AC&W radiator company in Corpus Christi, Texas. He loved his family more than anything and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his children, Ashton Stinson and fiancé Jennette, and Anthony Mason; grandchildren, Taylor Marie Stinson, Emonnie Stinson, Ja’vaun Rives, LaQoda Parmer, and Nevaeh Green; siblings, Belinda Stinson, Michael Stinson, Pinky Lee Stinson, and Roberta Gosson; along with numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aracieli Stinson; daughter, Crystal Stinson; parents, Willie Stinson Sr. and Dolly Mae Stinson; brothers, Irvin Stinson and Anthony Stinson; and sisters, Faith Stinson, Maryann Stinson, and Dolly Mae Tucker.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 3, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Dustyn Rose will be officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St. DeQuincy.
