Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Stitch Guillory announced that beginning Wednesday, Oct. 1, all CPSO Sheriff’s Sales will be conducted online.
To participate in the auctions, you must first create an online account on www.bid4assets.com. A $1,000 deposit will be required to bid. This deposit can be applied toward your purchase, refunded if you are not the winning bidder, or left in your account for future auctions. The online platform provides additional tools and features including auction watchlists, email notifications, and proxy biddings. The sales will continue to take place every Wednesday at 10 a.m.
“This transition makes the process more accessible and convenient for the public,” stated Sheriff Stitch Guillory. “Bidders will be able to participate from anywhere, using their computer or smartphone, without having to attend an in-person sale.”
