First responders fish fry put on by DeQuincy Masons

By Major Jerry Bell, Junior Deacon, DeQuincy Masonic Lodge 279

At 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, DeQuincy Masonic Lodge 279 held its annual fish fry for all first responders in our area. Every year the Lodge honors our first responders with a fish fry. Many first responders, city officials and local pastors attended the event and were treated to a wonderful meal. Local pastors were seen mingling and speaking with the first responders.

The turnout was great with many firemen, Sheriff’s deputies, medical personnel and many of our local city police officers. The DeQuincy Masonic Lodge is honored to hold such an event especially for those who keep us safe. Many masons attended the event and could be seen fellowshipping with the officers and firemen. It was a great event for some of our great citizens. The Masonic Lodge will continue to hold this event for our deserving first responders.
