F. B. Whitman was born Oct. 3, 1941 and passed away from this life on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025 at his home.
He is survived by his daughter, LaDusta Lee Flower; stepson, Russel Damerell; grandson, Michael Perkins; granddaughters, Heather Streams and Kimberly Elliott, husband John; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Kannon, Audi, Kooper, Rhetton, Lotty and Karalee; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fren Bennett Whitman; mother, Ola Whitman; sisters, Mary Ann Cooley and Betty Bunch; and brothers-in-law, Sheldon Cooley and Jean Bunch.

The family will receive friends from 9 until the time of the memorial service at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 26, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Mike Streams will be officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
